Media Interaction

Media interactions can be beneficial and damaging at the same time. Nowadays, children are different from the children that were born 20 years ago the credit or the blame in other case goes to media interaction which is comparatively too frequent. It can be an advantage to the people that use it wisely and in the right way but for the people that use it in a wrong way it would damage their lives in many serious ways such as spreading rumors that would cause many problems and hacking private devices which will cause the person serious problems in courts. Media interactions isn’t only for children or teenagers, it can also benefit older people and help them in many different ways. Media interactions have rapidly altered the way we used to live such as reading, advertising, and interacting with people.

Media has the art of magnifying every efforts let it be good or bad. Its like whatever you insert the output is likely to be twice as much as the effort. We have seen many times how something so little as a prank on social media has destroyed the life of an innocent person. Media has also contributed a lot in shaping the mentality of people. People think different now, they rely on media much and they often trust media. Media on the other hand has leveraged a lot from it in terms of molding the society into their desirable situation for the sake of finance and power. If we compare the situation with 20+ years ago we can see clearly that the norms and thinking pattern of society before was an accumulated result of human interaction and expression of opinion. Such interactions and expressions shaped the society and defined its norms and values. And these shapers of society back then didn’t earn from it. But today as we see the drivers of the society and way people think is the media and the owners of these media agencies or platforms are people who have molded the society to earn million and billions from it.

What are the chances that the molders of the society that is the media are doing it with good intention for the society? The chances are very less as if we analyze the situation these people’s source of income is from how they mold it and their profits is all that matters to them. Hence, media doesn’t work with good ethical values but for the sake of finances that would fill in their pockets to spend a life of luxury. Often at times people with wrong intentions apart from media have leveraged heavily from its existence. Few decades back if you needed to sell a product then it had to be qualitatively justifying to the people. However today, people can market their products media that haven’t been prepared up to the satisfactory standards. A model would walk in and use their product to show how it makes her look the way she is or how it helps it in her life, and people being inspired by the model are too blinded to believe that the product is actually qualitative. Many times we have witnessed how companies have closed because it was revealed later how their products have been far more damaging than effective.

Despite all the negativity media has also helped individuals shape their lives. Gathering knowledge back in the days wasn’t that easy but today it’s at the tip of your fingers. Moreover, for an entrepreneur it wasn’t easy to have a start up a company back in the days but now due to widespread influence of the media it takes more of an idea and little of investment to start a company. Thus, media has also helped people break the cliché boundaries that they have been surrounded with since decades. It has contributed towards the rise of the economy as a whole. People have expanded their network to reach out to millions of people with the help of media influence. Also, it has contributed a lot towards awareness. People today are more aware of not just their surrounding but of the whole world due to media.
