Research Proposal: A Proposal to Craft Flexible Marketing Campaigns for Fashion Based Businesses

Marketing strategies are timeless approaches companies adopt to get their products and services known to potential consumers for purposes of boosting sales. With advancements in technology and ever rising competition in business, it is essential for companies to come up with strategies that are readily adaptable to changing trends so as to remain valid always (Earls,2002). My chosen topic research, therefore, is marketing strategies for the fashion industry. I decided to work with fashion based businesses since fashion is one product that is exposed to a lot of changes in the market most of which happen rather abruptly. The demand for a particular specific pair of jeans, for instance, might rise significantly within a period of one night because some famous footballer or musician was spotted wearing the same pair. This implies good business for those who had that particular brand in stock.

This is “A Proposal to Craft Flexible Marketing Campaigns for Fashion Based Businesses”. I intend to approach this by identifying particular fashion based companies in the locality with which to work with. This is important since the proposal is meant to benefit middle-level business owners struggling with marketing. It is also important for my course as I can implement essential learned and mastered traits in the field such as identification of business niche and advertising companies products and services.

Background information I might need to research includes previous trends in fashion marketing, successful marketing strategies, among others. The material I am expected to review for my project is previous publications on marketing strategy, strategic business plans, company annual budgets and estimates for marketing as well as customer trends and preferences records from magazines among other places. Furthermore, my research methodology will be both qualitative through the primary use of interviews as well as quantitative through questionnaires. I will need to interview business owners to determine their strategies as well as customers to measure the efficiency of the proposed and previous procedures. This should be achievable within a time frame of at least three months.
