Overview According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 4,679 workers were killed on the job in 2014. To help identify factors that contribute to fatal workplace injuries, NIOSH created the Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (FACE) Program in 1982. The FACE Program targets fatal incidents involving young workers, foreign born workers, and the construction industry.
