Your completed website must contain a minimum of six pages (not including the references page, if you use other authors' work with their permission), properly hand-coded by you. Your grade for the project will be based on your completion of several key elements as follows:

PAGE REQUIREMENTS: Failure to meet the page requirements will result in a 10 point reduction of your score.

Your Website must consist of at least 6 pages Your main page must have a link to your other pages All other pages must have a link back to your main page Each page must have a title (using the HTML title tags) Each page has the proper HTML structure Each page must have an appropriate background color or graphic Graphics should be locally hosted and not linked to from third party sites

SITE REQUIREMENTS: Points possible are shown in parenthesis - This is the score sheet that will be used to grade your website project. Basic Formatting: Use at least two font colors. The colors used must be presentable and not interfere with reading the pages. Contain at least one instance of using italics  Use at least one horizontal rule    Have an ordered and an unordered list  Use at least one table (visible or invisible) Most of your formatting is handled by an external .css style sheet that is linked to your pages.

Graphics: These graphics must be optimized for the web as described in the Week 2 conference. There should be no aspect ratio issues. TWO regular images    TWO hyperlinked images

Links: Have a 'mailto' link to your email address Have at least 4 links to other web pages that are not part of your site At least one same page jumping links/anchors

Advanced Features: CSS: The majority of formatting for your site is handled via an External Style Sheet (.css)  Validation: Home Page validates without errors using the W3C HTML Validator (HTML5 or XHTML OK) and the W3c Validated icon or text link is placed at the bottom of the page (only if page validates without errors) 

Overall Layout: The page demonstrates an understanding of the 4 Page Layout Principles as described in the Week 3 Conference: Contrast, Proximity, Alignment), and Repetition
