Successful Organizational Cultures

Successful organizational cultural means being smart enough to create a workplace culture that gives positive direction for your organization and its employees. In fact, a strong workplace culture makes it easier for an organization to stay focused, define its goals, and deliver on those goals. The employees want to join organizations that stand for something. They want to align themselves with a corporate culture that fits their own beliefs and values. A place where they can bring their best selves and contribute in ways that make a difference. “Internal environments are important because they affect what people think, feel, and do at work. The key component in internal environments is organizational culture, or the set of key values, beliefs, and attitudes shared by members of the organization” Williams, 2015. There are four keys to an organizational culture that fosters success

Adaptability is the first key which means the ability to notice and respond to change in the organization’s environment. Also, it means some managers need to take a step to follow the development of the organizational culture which is a very important thing. The adaptability can be developed by CEO who are open to new approaches and who are willing to incorporate changes to their current management style. These changes require letting go of former ways of thinking and a commitment to personal transformation which will ultimately lead to performance improvement.

Next key is employee involvement. “One of the surest ways to do organization culture is to discourage open discussion and disagreement. In culture that promote higher level of employee’s involvement in decision making, employees feel a greater sense of ownership and responsibility” Williams, 2015. For example, the managers need to share their decision with their employees and listen to their feedback and take it. The manager does not have to take all the feedback that he/she gets from his employees, but take some of their feedback will make them feel that they are part of the company. In addition, it will encourage them work harder and make the company more successful.

Giving a clear mission for the employees is the third key of organizational culture. If the employees do not get a non- clear mission, they will not do their job very well. In the business, giving a clear mission is very important to the employees because it will help them to finish the work completely in a short time. “In organization cultures with a clear mission, the organization strategic purpose and direction are apparent to everyone in the company” Williams, 2015.

Finally, “in consistency organizational cultures, the company actively defines and teaches organizational values, beliefs, and attitudes” Williams, 2015. When a new manager in the company respects his employees’ beliefs and values, he will creates a strong relationship with them.

In conclusion, successful organizational cultures are very important for every manager in order to create a great workplace for his employees. Providing a good workplace for the employees will encourage them to work so hard in order to stay with the company. In addition, using the four keys of organizational culture will success of the company.
