Freedman, Russell. Freedom Walkers: The Story of the Montgomery Bus Boycott. New York: Holiday House, 2006.
It is a book called Freedom Walkers which tells us the story on how the civil right movements started when an African American woman named Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat in the bus to a white man which was against the rules for non-white people to sit on. The book also gives many examples on many similar protests against such rules that will help to understand how the civil right movements started and its causes.
