George Washington

George Washington Was the first President of the United States of America from the year 1789 to the year 1797. He was not just a president but he was also the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army and this was during the American Revolutionary War as well as one (Thomas, N. G2011) of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America. He supervised over the meeting that drafted the present United States establishment and during his life was called the father of his country.

Birth and Childhood

He was born into the provincial gentry of Colonial Virginia whereby his families were well-off planters who possessed tobacco plantations as well as slaves that he inherited; he owned many slaves all through his lifetime, but his views over slavery evolved. In the year 1752, Washington's older brother who was called Lawrence died; endow George with actually care of his Mount Vernon estate hence asking him to restore his office as an adjutant universal of the colony. His errands incorporated overseeing the militia over the districts as said by (Thomas, N. G2011).

Career and military service

George Washington was actually a leader of the Continental Army over the American Revolution, and also he was the first to become United States president. In the year 1755 Washington reentered military service having the courtesy title of colonel, as an assistant to Gen. Edward Braddock, and hardly escaped death when the French overcome the broad’s forces in the fight of the Monongahela, PA. Life as president

In December the year 1752, Washington, who had no previous services knowledge, was made just a commander of the Virginia militia. He then saw action in the French as well as Indian War conflicts and was ultimately put in charge of all of (Wood, G. S 2013)Virginia’s militia forces. By the year 1759, Washington had resigned his charge, returned to Mount Vernon and was chosen to the Virginia House of Burgesses, where he served until 1774 and gained his achievement.

Retirement and Death

Washington finally returned to Mount Vernon and dedicated his attentions to just making the plantation as creative as it had been previous to he became president. More than just four decades of public service had aged him although he was still an imposing figure. In December the year 1799, he caught a cold after examining his properties over the rain. The cold urbanized into a throat infection whereby Washington died on the night of December 14 at the age of 67. He was entombed in Mount Vernon, which in 1960 was chosen a national historic landmark as said by (Wood, G. S2013).
