• Please use four different sheets—for every period one sheet. • Take the dates for the time periods from the CHART. For example, the medieval period extends from 700 to 1500. • Then use a different color for the names in every time-period, for if you are a visual learner, the color will help you to remember the

association of a name with a time period. Let’s say you choose red for the medieval period and therefore, you write the name of Thomas Aquinas in red.

• Stretch out the extreme dates on each page—for the medieval period, write 700 on the left side of the page and 1500 on the right side of the page.

• Find the dates for a particular name, event, or movement (your text, Google, dictionary, etc.). For example, Aquinas 1225-1274, and write his name down in the middle of the page of the medieval period, for he lived in the 13th century (1200s is 13th century!).

• Use lines |------| to indicate the span of life of a person or the time of a particular movement. • The two lower timelines are just for your information. It is to distinguish what happened in the western and eastern churches as they split

in 1054/1204. • Make sure that you know something about every name, event, and movement. Not only when it took place or when a person lives, but

what’s the significance of the given event or a person.
