Topic: Willing allowing guns on college campuses make them safer?

Thesis statement: “If students are permitted to have guns on campus will it increase the number of deaths rather than protecting them”. MS Memuna Sillah You should take a position here by answering the question that you ask.

Paragraph 1:

Reason # 1 There should be peace in our campuses and persons within these academic institutions should not have the fear of situations that involve guns fight from immature students. Our colleges and universities should remain the havens for learning; the whole fraternity should not worry about the threat of gun violence on the campus (Keep Guns off Campus). The likelihood of students with psychological problems, drug-related problems, poor impulse control be armed with guns would not instill fear to any persons within the institution.

Reason #2 Arming students with guns is a primary factor that is promoting homicide. According to the case-control studies made from national criminal justice reference service, the firearm availability is a risk factor for homicide in the United States. The NJRS organization summed up it studies with the statically based evidence that areas with higher levels of gun ownership are areas with higher homicide rates (Ncjrs.gov). The ban of permitted guns on campus curbs the accidental death and homicide-related death in our campuses.

Paragraph 3

Reason #3 Allowing the student to have guns on campus will it not lead to increased massive destruction of property and deaths when students are protesting. An armed student is hard for the police to control in case of the protest. Florida law court rejected the bill presented by Senator Evers and other legislators based on statistics of increased rate of student extremism and radicalization in campus in that state (Keep Guns off Campus). The idea of arming the students is costly as there are other requirements come along with the idea.

Paragraph 4:

OPPOSING VIEW: The decision of having guns on campus will offer personal protection and not the case that it will increase the number of deaths on the campuses. The decision according to the national rifle association formed in 2007 for conceal carry believes that campus violence such as abduction, assault in ‘’gun- free zone’’ do not stop the perpetrators and serve only to disarm good citizens (Savage).

The conclusion to the topic that is that, ‘students should not have the gun on campuses. The restatement of the thesis to support that more deaths might occur when students have guns than not.
