Large Muscle Development |
The child should be able to use, coordinate and control the muscle for movement. |
The above development will be facilitated by various activities. Opportunities will be created such as running, jumping and climbing. The above activities make use of the large muscle and enhance their stability. |

Moreover the child should be able to manipulate objects and gradually develop the motor movement |
The child should be able to manage the motor movements such as in grasping the writing tools firmly and sitting upright. They will be effected by assisting the child grasp the motor movement. |

Small Muscle Development
|
The child should be able to coordinate the eye and hand. |
The above skill will be developed through play activities that require attention and participation. |

The child should manage to manipulate small objects such as picking and holding a crayon |
Activities will be implemented that will gather the strength of the small motor muscle such as holding of the ball and tasks that enable the child to control the motor muscle. |

Thinking
|
The child should be able to be creative and think. |
The child will engage in activates such as creative drawing and writing that will enable the child to use the skill of creativity and cognitive skills. |

Remembrance and memory of lessons taught and activities should be displayed. |
Tasks will be presented to the child that enable the child memory enhancement. Such activities will make use of knowledge that had been previously presented to the child. Songs and chants will be used. |

Oral Language Development
|
The child should be able to manipulate words to come up with meaning and build vocabulary. |
Writing activities will be presented to the child to enhance word development. |

The child should be able to make use of language to bring substantial meaning through pronunciation. |
Listening skills will be developed in the child to enable the child to understand the pronunciation of words and their respective meaning. |

Literacy Development
|
The child should be able to read the material taught in class. |
Story books will be presented to the child that will enhance the writing skills. The children will be made to read then materials aloud in groups. The child should be able to enjoy the activities. |

The child should write words that have meaning and be able to relate objects and their names |
With the development of small motor skills, the child should be able to firmly grasp the crayon and write the basic letters and words as depicted in the board. |

Personal & Social Development
|
The child should be able to express him/herself and be able to develop interpersonal skills |
Every child will be given the opportunity to stand in front of the classroom and present study materials to the class such as reading a story or chanting words as the other students repeat. |

The child should develop the skills of interacting with the other students and be able to form formal friendships and associations. |
There will be play activities that enable interactions between the students. The children will be placed in groups and activities given to them to enhance participation and interactions between them. |

Writing Across the Curriculum
Walden University is committed to high academic literacy standards. To develop these skills in students, this course has a strong emphasis on written assignments which may include content review questions, Application Assignments, case study analyses, observations, and online Discussions. All assignments are expected to meet the following standards:
