Week 1

"Linear Equations and Inequalities"  Please respond to the following:

· Explain the main differences between the types of techniques used for solving linear equations and linear inequalities. Include one (1) example of each type of technique to demonstrate such difference.

Week 2

"Complex Numbers"  Please respond to the following:

· Discuss the importance of complex numbers. Next, provide at least one (1) real-world problem that one can apply the concept of complex numbers to solve. Explain your answer.

Week 3

"Slope"  Please respond to the following:

· Explain how you could use the numerical value of slope to describe the slant and steepness of a line. Include at least one (1) example or scenario of such use to support your response.

Week 4

Week "Graph Transformations"  Please respond to the following:

· View the Graph Transformations interaction located at https://tube.geogebra.org/m/917535. Play with it and familiarize yourself with the demonstrating graph transformations. Note: There are functions and different numbers given that you can click on and see the various transformations. You can also choose or create your own function and numbers by double clicking the given function / numbers, and typing in the pop-up box along the left-hand side of the graph. Or, you can change the functions and numbers for the various transformations along the right hand side of the graph by typing in the function box and sliding the bullets left or right along the number line.

· Explain why the graph of the function g(x) = -3(x-1)2 + 5 has the same basic shape of the parabola f(x) = x2.

· Provide your own example of a function and list out the given graph transformations used.

Week 5

One-to-one and Inverse Functions"  Please respond to the following:

· Explain one-to-one function in your own words. Next, list the main steps that you would follow to find the inverse of a one-to-one function. Include one (1) example of a function and find the inverse to illustrate the steps.
