These instructions will ask you to do a couple more things than the tutorial does. These additional steps are graded.

Click on the View menu in the menu bar and select Layout Mode.

Click on the New Layout/Report button in the Status Bar.

Show records from should be the Customers table.

Click on the Finish button to create the new layout.

Click on the Change Theme button (rectangle #1 below).
Select the Vibrant theme (rectangle #2) if it is not already selected and click OK.

Open the Field Picker if it is not already displayed (command + K). Make sure that you have selected the horizontal field placement and labels above fields options.

Click on the Customer ID field. Hold down on the command key and click on the Company, State, and Tier fields. Release the command key. All four fields should now be highlighted.

Each layout has three sections.
Header
Body
Footer

The field labels need to appear in the Header of the layout so they appear once at the top of the form.

Anything that appears in the Body of the layout will be repeated for each record in the table. The fields should appear in the Body of the layout.

Drag the selected fields from the Field Picker to the layout.

A rectangle will appear as you move the fields over the layout. The top half of the rectangle should appear in the header of the layout (the brown section) and the bottom half of the rectangle should appear in the body of the layout (the light blue section).
If dragging the fields does not work as shown in the video, undo it and try again.
You may need to adjust the fields and field labels as shown near the end of the video to fix any overlaps.

You may need to move the fields down in the Body section of the layout to get them to appear after you click on Exit Layout. Watch the video on the next slide.
Hold down on the shift key and select the Customer ID, Company, Website, and State fields. Release the shift key.
Press the down arrow key a couple times to move the fields down.

The video first shows that if the fields are too high in the body of the layout, they do not appear after you exit layout mode.
The video then shows how to move the fields down (select the fields, then press the down arrow key a few times).
Finally, the video shows that the fields now appear after you exit layout mode.

Click on Exit Layout in the Status toolbar and save your changes.
Click on New Record in the Status toolbar to start a new company record.

Enter your name as the Company name, any state that you want, and pick a tier for yourself.
Notice that the Customer ID is automatically assigned.
