WHAT’S WRONG?
I keep trying to stick to a budget, but I keep failing, but when I actually put it to work. something always comes up and I can’t stick to it.
What to consider when planning a budget:
Know why you are budgeting.
The reason for budgeting is to help you spend less than you earn.
Have a specific, concrete long term goal in mind.
Be realistic.
Don’t be afraid to adjust, even radically.
Categories that give a detailed picture of exactly what you spend your money on:
Housing (utilities, rent, furniture)
Transportation (gas, public)
Taxes (work, home, personal business)
Debt (loans, credit cards)
Entertainment (movies, music, hobbies, going out)
Personal (food, clothes, health, holiday)
Insurance (home, car, health)
Unexpected Costs:
Non-routine (gifts bought for other people at Christmas or birthday)
Maintenance costs (cars, house)
Unexpected sicknesses (medical, doctor, hospital)
What employers actually mean when the say, “BA required, MA preferred”.

You will create a PowerPoint presentation which will be comprised of seven slides. That will cover the areas listed below. Be sure to explain how you look at:

Short-term goals (following the SMART method) and how you will develop a plan to meet them
Long-term goals (following the SMART method) and how you will develop a plan to meet them

Budgeting plan to cover education and career marketability needs

PowerPoint Presentation with five slides
Notes for the content slides (Slides 2 through 6) should include speaker notes at the bottom of the slide
Brief points should be included on the slide and detailed explanations for each point should be shared in the speaker notes of the slide
Identify the source of any pictures you use
Save the PowerPoint in .ppt format and submit it into the Unit 9 Dropbox.
