Set Up Basic Hydraulic Circuit

Lectures name: Dr.Ahmad Sedaghat

1) Prepare list of all parts required in this hydraulic system, and justify your selection for each component.

1- Tank: contains the hydraulic fluid (liquids) required for the operation.

2- Filter: removes the contaminations from the circle and protects the pump.

3- Electric motor: used for activating the pump by giving it the required speed.

4- Pump: supplies the system with flow of fluids by pushing the fluids through the system.

5- Pressure relief valve: to limit system pressure.

6- Non return valve: blocks the flow in one direction and allows free flow in the other.

7- 4/3 way valve: supplies the cylinders with fluids, and takes the return fluids from the cylinders. And controls that operation.

8- One way control valve: control the speed motion in one way.

9- Double acting cylinders: use the force of fluids to move in both extend and retract strokes.

10- Pressure gauge: to check the pressure of the system.

2) Draw the full hydraulic circuit by using AutoCAD showing all parts and connections.

3) Add any kind of practical improvement(s) on the hydraulic circuit of this mechanism, and justify it clearly to your instructor. Also, you must show the improvement(s) on the AutoCAD drawing.

11- Add Two way pressure regulator: to reduce the inlet pressure to an adjustable pressure. Also to control the force (to have constant force).

12- Add Heat exchanger: to cool down the temperature of the return fluids.

13- Add Filter: to clean and remove contaminates of return fluids to protect the system.
