SolidWorks – Feature-based, parametric solid modeling (assigned 9/10/15)
1. Create a 3D model of each of the 12 parts provided below, omit parts 20,21,24.
a. Note: Each small, blue block on the image is .50 inches.
2. Create a folder in your class folder named “SW Parts 13-24”.
3. Save each 3D model as a different SolidWorks part (.sldprt) file in the SW Parts 13-24 SW Parts folder.
4. Use fully defined sketches.
5. Filenames should use the following format…
a. 13-12SWPRT.sldprt
b. 14-12SWPRT.sldprt
c. Use the above format up to 24-12SWPRT.sldprt
6. Assign material ASTM A36 Steel to each part
7. To turn in the assignment, create a Word document that tells me you have modeled each of the parts and they are saved in your assignments folder. Be sure to put your name on the document somewhere. List the mass of each part below like the example shown:
Part 13- 2.7 lb
Part 14- 2.1 lb
8. This assignment will be due at the beginning of class 9/15/2015.
