1.Click on Add Ins
2. If you do not see Add-Ins, you need to call tech support for it should appear after you install megastat.

1. Enter the data from the word file into the cells.

2. Slide mouse to Descriptive Statistics and do a left click

1. Highlight the cells you want to use in the calculations and in this case, you want all of the numbers and also the name of the cell.
2. It is recommended that you always give any column of data, a name for it makes it easier to manage the data set and also it helps create better output for your analysis.

1. You now can simply choose the calculations you want in your analysis. In essence Excel is a data waiter and you simply order what statistics you want.
2. Check the boxes for
a. Mean
b. Sample Variance and standard deviation
c. Minimum, maximum, range
d. Median, Quartiles, mode, outliers
e. Confidence Interval ( it will automatically be set at 95% and that is the most common confidence interval used in statistics)
3. Click OK
Step Eight

1. The screen now shows all of the calculations done by Excel using your data set
2. At the bottom left you will find a tab named “output” this is what Excel automatically calls the new page
3. To help minimize confusion the next step is to label the pages for clarity.
Step Nine

Left click on Rename

1. Put the cursor on the word “output”
2. Right click and the box should appear to use the Rename Command
3. Click on “rename”
Step Ten

Type in Descriptive Statistics
)
1. Type in the new name Descriptive Statistics
2. You now have a clear name for this page
Step Eleven

Data and Graph
)
1. Click on the tab named Sheet One ( this is the page that has your data)
2. Right click, choose rename
3. Name it Data and Graph
4. Now you can see what you have on different Excel Pages
5. Save Your Work.
