The Physics of Car Accidents
Driving is something that many of us do without much thought anymore. It’s second nature to look before we back out, use proper turn signals, use more caution in inclement weather and watch our speed. We do this for safety and the avoidance of an accident, but, what is the science behind it? Why are these rules placed in the driver’s manual that must be learned in order to become a licensed driver? The answer is science. More specifically, the Laws of Motion introduced by Isaac Newton and physics. The laws of motion and physics are what give us our automotive abilities but also what can quickly turn those car abilities into car accidents.
