Introduction
The project management office, abbreviated as PMO, is the department of a business, agency, enterprise, or in our case Pinellas County. This is the group that sets to maintain the standards of a project that’s ongoing within our organization.
The project management office is considered to be the backbone for the success of a management project.
Our PMO will set to deal with the crunch of less money that our county is currently facing, along with the increased percentage of poverty, and the increase in needs for other areas of the budget. To accomplish this we will look into project purpose, scope, boundaries, budget, stakeholder’s list, constraints, and risk identification. Our objective is to introduce new approaches in our economies, and find strategies of executing these projects successfully.
Our project management office will focus highly on delivering these projects on time and within budget as our limited amount of money, does not allow for a sufficient contingency budget for major errors and delays. The following are measures our project management office will set to avoid errors within the project;
• Setting Realistic Timelines.
• Setting an Order System for Approving/Rejecting/Tracking Changes.
• Allocate Human Resources
• Get All Departments Behind the Project.
• Monitor the amount of Work In Progress (WIP) Projects.
• Set Regular Meetings.
