Wal-Mart Stores, Inc, is one of the largest private employer in the world. The company has employed over 2.2 million persons. The company has been spreading across the globally for decades. As of December 2014, the company was listed as the largest company revenue wise. This shows their performance level in their stores.

The company is owned by a family and they have steer headed the company to its heights. Since in the 1969 when the company was incorporated, they have grown to own branches in all contents and doing extremely well financially and out doing their rivals in the same industry.

Being under the management of the Walton family they have successful built a reputable progress and managing to build a customer base of over 200 million persons. This show they are favored by their customers because they are in the front line of advocating for low prices as they target the low income earners.

Looking further to their charity activities they are in the front line of giving back to the society. They do this by financing various activities and as of end of last year the management stands at offering an estimated funding of up to $1 billion.

Despite their massive development the market has not been that free of completion. The company faces serious challenges from their competitors on a global spectrum. For example, in UK the company has a number of competitors who struggle to win the market share they own. Some of their competitors are: Kmart, Publix, Shopko and Meijer among many others in various locations.

Discuss the mission, vision, and ethics policy of this corporation. What led you to select it?

Looking at the company history, I was much interested in understanding the reasons lying behind the company’s success. Their mission statement is to meet the needs of their customers and within the shortest time period. This means they are looking at attracting the highest number of customers over their rivals. On the other hand, their vision is to be the market leader globally of which they have successfully attained over years.

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc, looks at both their public image and the internal. Over their leadership structure, the company ensures they have complied with all regulations affecting their operations and putting their competitors in mind.

Discuss the ethical principles under which the organization works.

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc has been known for its efforts to ensure they protect their consumers globally. Their actions are driven by customer satisfaction and safety. The company puts their customers on the front line to make sure they are safe when they consume their products. The company further believes their success is facilitated by customers.
