FINAL MARKETING ADVERTISING PROJECT

1. Your final ad should consist of the following format:

a. Headline

b. Sub headline

c. Body content

d. Logo

e. Tag line and contact information

Advertisement – The HEADLINE is the leading position of the ad, positioned to draw the most attention. The headline is larger in set, darker type, and set apart from the body text position.

Types of Headlines:

· Direct headlines are informative, straight forward in their creation

· Indirect headlines provoke curiosity and lure the reader into the body copy

· Sub headlines are common as a secondary, smaller than main headlines, but larger than body copy. Use when breaking up large amounts of copy

· Body Copy is the main text portion. Must be long enough to communicate the message but short enough to hold interest. The message flows from points made in the headline and sub headline.

· Layout is the physical arrangements of the parts to include graphics, photos, tag line and logo.

2. On a separate sheet of paper please answer the following questions

· Product value feature you are emphasizing

· Core profile – brief two sentence profile

· Consumer buying behavior – actual, other, desired…explain why you chose.

· What is your objective – list ONE awareness objective

3. Your final project will be graded on the following scale:

a. Following instruction – 5 points

b. Final ad creation – 30 points

c. Written content answering the items listed in step two above – 15 points

Remember: You are creating an ad for:

· Number one value feature

· Core market profile

· Number one self-image

· Introduction stage of your product’s life-cycle focused on AWARENESS
