Research Question

Knowledge I gained by watching the Silva (2011) video.

After watching the Silva (2011) Video, I have learned that Action research is applied only in real situations, instead of contrived and in experimental studies. This is because its major focus is solving real issues. I have also learned that Action research can also be applied where situation seems to be too vague to frame an accurate research question. Through further this video, I have learned Action research is chosen when situation require suppleness, especially when the participation of people in the research change and quick or holistic actions are required. Action research can also be applied by practitioners who want to improve skills of their practice. It can also be used by activists of social change while trying to begin an action campaign, or organization who could be deficient of requisite methodological information to pact with it.

Extent my research questions are still answerable

· Will the strategy be useful in various organizations to help in time management among the employees and the administration?

· Will the strategy be vital in making the students change their study skills as well as their habits?

· How will the plan be crucial to the community? Will it be beneficial to the Home Owners organizations’ meetings?

The above research are still answerable because one, they are easily researchable and answerable. Two, secondly, the topic under which the questions have been formulated sparkles my thoughts and are of interest to me as an individual. Third, the type of information I require from the questions is easily available in the internet’s and libraries. Four, the type of information I will get from the questions is of good scope. Five, the sources of the information required from the questions is accessible.

My questions will also be answerable because they are relevant; they are manageable in essence to research and in terms of my capabilities in academics. I have also ensured that the research questions have substantial dimensions that are original too. They have also been formulated in a way that makes them consistent to the assessment requirements. They are also precise and easily understood and finally, they are still answerable because they are interesting.

Proof those Data collection techniques I used will provide the kind of data I need to address your questions and proof I effectively filtered out data that you do not need.

My data collection techniques include interview, questionnaires and observations. These techniques will help me in effectively collecting the type of data I require. Through observation, I will get direct access to social phenomena under my consideration. Observation is also capable of taking diverse forms like informal and unstructured methods to firmly structured, standardized actions and further yield diverse forms of data, which include qualitative as well as quantitative (Mackie, 2000).

The questionnaire will help me access responses of many people within a short period, wide range of data will also be available for analysis hence better type of data, and then again the data provided will be free of bias. With the questionnaire the populace will also manage o answer questions at their own pace hence better accuracy and more honest data may be attained (Mills, 2009).

Finally through the interviews I will get more detailed type of information, this I because the topics will be dealt with in-depth and in details. Secondly, the interviews will be more flexible, hence more information can be achieved depending the way the conversation takes form. Lastly interviewees who are not good in writing will participate in the research through the interview.
