Running head: THESIS STATEMENT AND OUTLINE

Thesis Statement and Outline

I. Thesis

Work conditions are important factors to consider for employees mental and physical wellbeing. There are certain things employers do to protect the company; such as, call previous jobs of the applicant or even requesting a drug test. Some people feel it is an invasion of privacy, however, a company wants to make sure they are making the right decision before hiring someone with poor job skills or someone on drugs because it can seriously affect the production of the company. However, there are various unreasonable working conditions that affect employees; such as how harassment is dealt with, favoritism, hostile environments, available equipment compared to expected turnover, unmanageable workloads, poor heating and lighting, poor communication from employer to employee, keeping hazard free environments for employees, poor office layout, or even how employers react to poor or unlawful situations. High employee turnover typically means the company doesn’t treat their employees fairly, or that employees are given unreasonable tasks and treated poorly.
