THE WORK OF ART UNST 183-A Dr. Lea Millay Spring 2015 Extra Credit Assignment An opportunity for extra credit is possible when you visit one of the following art galleries or showings and write a critical review and an impression of at least one example of the artist’s work. The critical review should include Give the name of the gallery and exhibit; artist’s name and date of work; type of art form (painting, sculpture, pottery, wearable art, etc.); technique (ink on paper, gouache, acrylic, etc.); and photo. Write a critical review stating whether or not the work meets your criteria of a “work of art” as you define it. Include a subjective impression; that is, your emotional (subjective) response to the work. Include an original rendering or photo of your chosen work. (15 points possible) Your extra credit is due to the drop box in d2l by May 17 at 11:00 pm. I.
