The amount of data and information available to us every day is staggering. It is easy to become overwhelmed and tuned out. Creating visual representations of data allows for clearer processing and understanding of data and relationships.
I want to be an accountant, why do I need to know about visualization? ● Regardless of your chosen profession, the ability to
communicate clearly will be essential. Visual methods of communication can enhance your delivery, especially across industries or specializations.
● Knowing the “tricks of the trade” will also help you be a more savvy consumer - not swayed just by a “pretty package.”

Visualize This! Assignment Use one of the following tools (or another if you are familiar with it already) to create an infographic on a topic of your choice. Again, you may use an assignment that you need to do for another class.
After creating your Infographic share it to the Google Community, with a hashtag for your topic and one for your section.
Check out your classmates’ infographics as well! +1 the three most relevant to your studies or interest areas. Due: Sunday, April 19th at 5:00 pm.

1. What is the main point or message of your graphic? 2. What effect, reaction, or emotion are you trying to create? 3. Why did you select the colors? 4. Why did you select the font? 5. Why did you use the images, shapes, or charts you did? Answer these questions in a Google Doc and share with me. Use examples from the readings and videos to help explain your selections and give complete explanations. Use the naming convention lastname. firstinitial.infoexpl for the explanation. Submit this by sharing with me via Google Drive by 5 pm on Sunday, 4/19.
