1- Part that has been modeled in 3 coordinates i.e. x, y and z coordinates is a 3D-Solid Model. It differs from 2D model in a sense that it has additional feature of depth of the drawing due to which 3D model depicts more details of the part drawing. Complete drawing can only be observed or drawn if modeled in 3 dimensions.

2- Boolean operators used for 3D modeling is used to combine objects. There are 3 different operators i.e.

· Union: It is used to combine object components.

· Intersection: If some components have parts in common they are combined through this operator.

· Difference: Parts can be de-combined by using this operator.

3- Parent child relationship is one of the most powerful aspects of Pro-E. It plays an important role in propagation changes across the model to maintain the design intent. If a parent feature is changed, consequently, all children are changed to represent the parent feature.

4- Associative: Associative models or interface are ones that can be imported or transferred from one software to the others. This helps the analysis or other addition of any kind in the model.

Parametric: It is a collection of probability deliveries such that each member of this collection is described by a finite dimensional parameter. It is a family of distributions that can be described using a finite number of parameters.

5- Sketched feature: Features that are built or constructed from 2D or 3D sketches. A sketched feature is always the starting feature. Types of sketched features are

· Standard part modeling

· Surface modeling

· Plastic part modeling

Placed feature: Features that do not require sketches for their creation. They are mostly used for modifying an existing model.

6- Depending on part’s form, fit or function, certain features of the part have quantifiable relationships with other features. For example, holes are a certain distance apart. Parametric sketching provides a method to maintain and take advantage of these relationships in sketches and parts.

7- Assembly constraints are used to create parametric relationships between parts in assembly. Just as 2D constraints are used to control 2D geometry, 3D constraints are used in an assembly to position parts in relation to other parts.

8- If any component is to be edited in final model then right clicking on the component gives the option of EDIT DEFINITION, this lead to sketching window for that model and that can edited easily.

9- Design intent is how model behaves when dimensions are modified. An example is how to create and dimension a hole in block.

10- Features are directly associated to manufacture information so that the information can be retrieved in downstream applications.
