3D Bio Printing
Throughout history, the many innovations in the healthcare industry have had perhaps some of the
most significant impacts on our society. These breakthroughs have helped to cure diseases and fight
illnesses we have grappled with for years. With this in mind, for this assignment, our team decided to
research a topic pertaining to the medicine. After through research, we found ourselves especially
drawn to the concept of 3D printing, also known as bio-printing.
An important aspect of this topic is its potential marketing. As with any other product, in order for 3D
printing to truly take hold in the medical industry, the proper channels must be researched, and the
correct relationships must be built. Ideas for successful marketing may include partnering with well-
known institutions such as Johns Hopkins and research labs such as the Stanford University research lab.
Partnering with these organizations may also help to better familiarize the public with the process, as
well as help to secure funding in the future.
The matter of implementation is also important to this issue. In order for the process to be successfully
implemented across the field, the proper regulations must be followed, and organizations must work to
secure funding. This may take time. For these reasons, it may be best to implement 3D printing as an
important tool in medical research, and in the creation of various medical devices such as hearing aids
and prosthetic limbs, as is currently the case. If we build on what we already know, we can help the
process to reach its full potential in the future. It is important to note however, that once all the kinks
are worked out and funding is secured, the benefits of 3D printing will help to bridge many gaps in the
medical industry, and help to further unite medicine and technology.
Our team has collaborated effectively for the duration of this assignment. We have managed to
communicate successfully as a group in order to better understand innovation and process
management, as well as virtual teamwork.
