SPT 111 Milestone Two: Initial Planning

Overview:

The final project for this course is the creation of a business plan for a chosen sport organization. The purpose of this project is for you to begin to consider which area of sport business you will enter in your professional career. For this milestone, due in Module Three, you will submit an initial plan for the sport organization you selected in Module Two. The initial planning you provide in this milestone will create a framework for the Strategic Planning Milestone (Three) due in Module Five and for the final business plan due in Module Seven.

Specifically the following critical elements must be addressed:

· A description of the proposed revenue, expenses, and merchandise for your chosen sport organization

· A SWOT analysis for your organization

· A primary list of activities or business opportunities your organization will be engaged in

· Three strategic planning questions which your organization will need to address

Requirements of Submission:

The initial planning paper should follow these formatting guidelines: double-spaced Word document, 2–3 pages in length, not including title page and references, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, APA format, and a minimum of two primary sources.
