· Read Kelo v. City of New London, Connecticut, 545 U.S. 469.

· Brief the facts of the case and assume your boss is seeking your opinions as noted on the Supreme Court's 5-4 decision and how, as a business person you believe this case will affect your business. Argue both sides of all issues.

Briefing Paper 2: Law Case with Answers

Instructions:

· Read Palmer v. BRG of Georgia, Inc. - Cheeseman text pages 470-471.

· Brief the facts of the case and assume your boss is seeking your opinions on the "division of market" principle as used in Sherman Act cases.

· Provide convincing arguments for both sides of your recommendations.

Briefing Paper 3: Critical Legal Thinking Cases

Instructions:

· Read Sections 23.1 Food Regulations (p. 490); 25.1 Adverse Possession (p. 527); 25.5 25.8 Lease (p. 528); 24.6 Nuclear Waste (p. 506); and 23.7 Fair Debt Collection (p. 491).

· Check the decisions of the highest appellate courts, if a case is cited, for each fact pattern.

· Brief the facts of the case and assume your boss is seeking your opinions on whether each of the subjects affect business in the United States and if so, provide the worst and best case scenarios.

Briefing Paper 4: Ethics Case

Instructions:

· Read Section 25.9 Ethics – Cheeseman text pages 528-529.

· Brief the facts of the case and assume your boss is seeking your opinions on the 3 questions found at the end of Section 25.9. Argue both sides of all issues.
