1. For the problem you solved in homework 4 and 5 determine the following:
a. Balanced latitude and departure of all traverse sides using compass rule.
b. Computed coordinate of the traverse stations using coordinates of A as 1,000 N
and 1,000 E?
Hint: The solution for homework 4 and 5 is availble now on Titanium. Use the solution
to go forward with this. Also note that similar problems are worked out in the Coursepack
available on Titanium.
2. Mapping of a ground in front of CSUF Engineering building was done with a four sided
closed traverse. Assuming that the angle measurement is accurate, interior angles of only
three traverse stations were measured. Northing, Easting, and Elevation of stations C and
D were measured with GPS device. Rest of the surveying was done with the total station.
The results obtained with field surveying are shown in the following tables. With the
provided information, please calculate the Northing, Easting, and Elevation of stations A
and B. Please calculate the precision of distance measurement with the total station.
