Assignment 3: PowerPoint Presentation
Research and plan a PowerPoint slide presentation that would be at least 10 slides in
length. Review the scenario below as the information upon which to base your
presentation.
Remember, these presentations are to be persuasive.
Scenario: You’ve been asked to give an informative 10-minute presentation to a
group of convention attendees on the great things to do and see in Portland. The
goal of this presentation is to write to your audience and prepare the
presentation to encourage the convention attendees, who are already in
Portland, to sightsee and spend their money in/around the city.
Deliverables: For this assignment, you are not to turn in all the slides of the presentation
(yet). At the start of class on Thursday, turn in:
an outline of your presentation (likely a Microsoft Word document)
the title slide for your presentation (likely created using PowerPoint)
the agenda/organizing (preview) slide that would be at the start of your
presentation (also likely created using PowerPoint)
Print out the two slides above in full page view (they may be printed in black and white)
The presentation plan needs to contain the information you deem necessary and
important FOR THE AUDIENCE. As you are creating your outline, think about how much
information would be on a slide and how that slide would guide the audience.
You will be awarded points based on the structure of your outline and its ability to
strongly/effectively present the information to your audience as well as the
composition, layout and design elements of the two slides you create. For more detail,
