Organizational Climate and Culture Report, 5-6 pages

In this paper you will offer a critical analysis of cultural identifiers and communication perspectives.

1. Give your paper a title.

2. Write an introduction.

3. Define Organizational Climate and Culture. Explain the differences among traditionalist, interpretivist, and critical perspectives. Please note that these are research perspectives and not managerial or leadership approaches. 

  • Cite at least 3 times from your textbook (Chapters 6, 7, and 8).
  • Cite at least once from one additional source (dictionary.com, answers.com, Wikipedia and similar do not count).
  • Give a minimum of four citations in this section.

4. Conduct two interviews of two persons in the same organization of your choice. You may use your own workplace or one you know. 

  • Offer a brief description of the organization.
  • Provide reasons for choosing this organization for study.

5. Interviews of two persons in the organization.

IMPORTANT: In the works cited list, you must include contact information including the full name, the name of the organization, and either an email or a phone number for each interviewee.

Note: If an interviewee tells you that he or she wishs to remain anonymous, politely tell him or her that you appreciate his or her willingness to help you with the paper but you will need to find someone else to move forward with the interview because your instructor might contant him or her to verify interview content.

 6. Critically analyze the culture.

  • Using your gathered information, compile a critical analysis of the existing culture: identify the communication approaches, the mood and tone of the environment, attitudes and perceptions, issues of control and diversity, technological influences, heroes, rites, rituals, etc.

7. Offer recommendations.

  • You must make 2-3 specific recommendations to change/improve/reinforce culture.
  • Connect these recommendations to the course materials.

8. Write a concluding paragraph.

9. Following APA format and include references for the textbook, one additional source, two interviewees, and any additional sources that you used.

10. Include the statement of originality.
