The Creative Potential Profile Test Instrument
A. J. Rowe, Creative Intelligence (Upper Saddle River, NJ.: Prentice Hall) 2004
Use the following numbers to rank the answers in order of preference:
1 = when the question is MOST like you.
2 = when the question is MODERATELY like you.
3 = when the question is SLIGHTLY like you.
4 = when the question is LEAST like you.
One of the numbers must be entered on each line following the answers to each question. Do not repeat any number on a given line. For example, the numbers you might use to answer a given question could look as follows: 3 2 1 4
In answering the questions, think of how you NORMALLY act in your work situation. Use the first thing that comes to your mind when answering the question. Your responses should reflect how you feel about the question and what you prefer to do, not what you think might be the right thing to do.

| Average (Baseline) scores: | Intuitive | 64 | Innovative | 67 | imaginative | 58 | Inspirational | 61 |
The standard deviation for each of these categories was: 8, 7, 6, 6.
The initial scores for the test instrument were derived from testing a number of individuals who were considered creative. These individuals were engaged in different kinds of work, covering a number of fields. These initial scores became the benchmark for determining the scores for each ofthe four styles. Following the initial research and changes in the test instrument, the average scores for each style were:
It is important to note that scores which are "lower" than the average indicate a stronger emphasis in that category - hence the lowest numbers indicate the areas of preference
