1) Hamlet and His Problems

After reading about Plays I personally feel that, 'Hamlet', makes a great play or movie to see it visually. Hamlet being an introspective and thoughtful person never was in hurry to take action or act against his fathers death. But, he always knew that something was not right and confirmed his inner feelings when found out through the ghost. Yes, I do agree that in Old testament it says that a man can take up his dead brother's wife but I am sure not by killing him though. May be at that time it made sense according to their practices but when it comes to the modern life the scenario is entirely different. The whole play is about how Hamlet plans and succeeds in taking revenge against Claudius though Claudius has his own plans to finish Hamlet.
2) The Elizabethan Context
1. The Elizabethan Context
The relevance of Shakespeare and many other writers and artists who worked in previous eras is also a popular topic among educators and researchers who focus on literature. Many people argue that the enduring popularity of Shakespeare is a testimony to his relevance, and that additionally, he has made major contributions not only to the English language, but to the way in which people think and behave. Shakespeare has quite literally shaped society in many ways, making Shakespeare relevant in a very real way.
2. The Elizabethan Context
Queen Elizabeth have reacted to Shakespeare’s view of women in that her rule saw women in English society have more freedom than previous ages, but simultaneously still restricted by traditions and laws in terms of the roles they might play. For example the women in Shakespeare play never act as traditional women they did whatever they want.
Since the point of a revenge tragedy is the death of everyone involved, I feel it's relevance to modern society is a warning. It's better to let things go rather than dwell and let it fester to the point of violence. Revenge is commonly viewed as a negative reaction to a situation probably because of stories like Hamlet where the person who seeks revenge ends up worse than where they started from.
