About The Learning Tree Academy
The Learning Tree Academy is registered with the Department of Education as a Private School for children grades K-12 that fall on the autism spectrum. We are a McKay funded school.
The need for this type of school is critical to the Citrus County area. There are many children that are on the autism spectrum, that are getting lost in the public school system. These students have a hard time concentrating for a long period time, some cannot communicate, and are expected to perform at a level that they are not able to in that environment.
Learning Tree Academy Curriculum
We use the Accelerated Christian Education Curriculum (ACE). We will test each student upon being accepted to The Learning Tree Academy. Teachers, Counselors, and Therapist will develop the best course of study for every student. We want to close the gaps by identifying how each child learns.
Learning Tree Academy Mission
The Learning Tree Academy gives every student the academic, social, educational training to surpass their potential while learning that their disability is not a disability and that it does not set limits on who they are or what they can accomplish in their lives. We want to grow in every student hope, potential, healing, love, belonging and that their future is not what they have experienced in their past but that it is anything that they want it to be.
