Quality to Price of Home

The distribution s normally distributed.

Central Tendency: Mean = 133.15

Dispersion: Standard Deviation = 17.34462

Number: 100

Min/Max: Min = 95k; Max = 160k

Confidence Interval: 129.75-136.55

See Appendix A for histogram; descriptive statistics in Appendix B

Age

The distribution is not normally distributed.

Central Tendency: Median= 35

Dispersion: IQR = 6 years

Number: 100

Min/Max: Min = 25; Max = 45

Confidence Interval: 1.281181

See Appendix A for histogram; descriptive statistics in Appendix B; see Appendix C for scatterplot.

Quality of home based on Price point.

Based on a yes or no answer, 42% of those surveyed felt the quality of the home did not match the price paid for the home.

Descriptive Statistics Interpretation

Price range of home purchased

The survey was conducted using a randomly selected group of 100 participants in the population. The company’s database of customers was used with a range of 75k to 174k purchase price of a new home. The mean was 133.15 of price paid for a new home and a standard deviation of 3.4462. I also find that only 40% of those surveyed have a home price above the mean of 133.15.

Age

The survey was conducted using a randomly selected group of 100 participants in the population. I have found the data to be distributed normally and a skew point to the left. The ages in the survey were between 25 and 45 years of age. I also found that half of the ages were above 35 years of age. Also, the mode for this group was found to be 25.
