Format: Hard copy, Typed, Double-space, 12 point, Times New Roman
Choose one (1) of the following topics for your paper and follow the prompt:
1) Diversity of scientists
In a two-page essay, reflect on the readings from this section and discuss why you think there is a lack of diversity in scientists . To receive full credit, be sure to respond to EACH of the following:
a) Identify at least two possible reasons for the lack of gender and racial diversity in scientists?
b) For each reason you identify, what is the evidence for and/or against this being the reason for a lack of diversity?
c) Watch the ad campaign from the EU again. Does this advertisement address the reason(s) you identify as the most likely to be the cause of the lack of diversity? Why or why not?
d) Use at least 2 readings from the syllabus.

In a two-page essay, reflect on the readings from this section and discuss why you think there is a lack of diversity in research subjects . To receive full credit, be sure to respond to EACH of the following:
a) Identify at least two possible reasons for the lack of gender and racial diversity in research subjects?
b) For each reason you identify, what is the evidence for and/or against this being the reason for a lack of diversity?
c) Explain the legislation passed in 1993 requiring inclusion of women and minorities in research studies. Does this legislation address the reason(s) you identify as the most likely to be the cause of the lack of diversity? Why or why not?
d) Use at least 2 readings from the syllabus.
