NO PLAGIARISM

POST 1 ST Theresa Anderson The death of Osama Bin Laden has caused many speculations concerning the strengths and weaknesses of Al Qaeda. Clarke ( 2011) said that Bin Laden's death may cause retaliation by Al Qaeda affiliates. Since Bin Laden's death there has  been many upheavals  caused by the extreme, radical Muslim groups. For example, there is growing violence in countries such as: Nigeria, Russia, Pakistan and Somalia. The most active and bloody group is to be found in Iraq, where the Islamic State of Iraq is carrying out regular terrorist attacks and has links across the border in Syria.  Many groups around the globe have converted to the ideology and practices of Al Qaeda. This shows an increase in numbers of the Al Qaeda affiliates. The membership is growing like wild weeds. Osama Bin Laden may be dead but his fight continues. "We  can keep killing and arresting terrorists, but if new ones are recruited, our war will never end. In my opinion, this will be an ongoing harvesting of terrorists, which will make the Islamic group a formidable foe.   On the other hand, Bin Laden's death put a huge gap in the armor of the Islamic affiliates, by removing the strongest link. It also put a curb on terrorists attacks on US soil. The main hub of Al Qaeda, Afghanistan, has lost its prominence. Bin Laden was a very religious and charismatic leader. He was a strategist and commanded reverence. There are other leaders but none will be as strong a leader as Bin Laden. Clarke, R. Bin Laden's Dead. Heuristically thinking, there are many variables which have to be taken into considerations and sometimes parents don’t always seek the full truth, refusing to consider the possibility, medical institutes may not be giving the full scope of the possible deficiencies of the treatment.  Understandably the treatment would help with transportation issues as well as hygiene and family participation. Yes, three month old babies do react to physical touch and voices and bond with those closest to them.  That being said, Ashley is a child with the mental capabilities of a three month old so she will crave touch and sound.  Now let us look at some real facts. The Ashley X treatment should not be about convenience for the parents it should be based solely on the medical benefits for the child. Over the years there have been numerous studies done on the practical and physical benefits of estrogen therapy. Here are the facts: Estrogen therapy can cause future problems which can affect the physical issues of an already disabled child, estrogen has been linked to cancer, osteoporosis and heart complications.  The Ashley X treatment could potentially worsen the child’s bone density, risking pathological fractures. Also growth attenuation could cause problems with scoliosis and deformed thorax, causing respiratory complications. More intensive studies should be done before such a drastic step is taken because the unknowns are years away from being truths. Antommaria, A. M., Feudtner, C., Peace, W.
