In the world today, lack of economic privileges has made many people to experience lack of very important things in live. Modern energy sources are social, economic or even political privileges that many people have lacked to access. Poverty has increased among the people who lack economic opportunities to make wealth. While poverty can affect any person in an environment, women and children are most hit since there are social, political and economic biases and discriminatory treatments that harbor them from accessing economic opportunities. Children and women are the most affected when there are outbreak of civil wars, they lack opportunities to access education, socio-economic and political stereotypes, death of family breadwinners and events of migrations that leave them with little resources to purchase modern energy. The legality of access to modern energy source is discriminatory on children and therefore, they may not have the opportunity to acquire and use it.
In my opinion, cultural orientations may affect the acquisition of properties and resources among members of a society and therefore, men in patriarchal societies are the most privileged. I also think that legal conditions may limit minor citizens from acquiring and using modern energy sources on their own.
