Article Analyze 2-3 page APA style paper including reference list and citations!!
1. Select an article from an occupational therapy journal that addresses one of the practice areas or client populations reviewed in this course. This must be a peer-reviewed JOURNAL and be a FULL article published within the last 5 years. Examples of acceptable journals include Occupational Therapy in Health Care, Physical and Occupational Therapy in Pediatrics, Occupational Therapy in Mental Health, Physical and Occupational Therapy in Geriatrics, Occupational Therapy International, Canadian Journal of Occupational Therapy, Australian Journal of Occupational Therapy, and American Journal of Occupational Therapy. You may choose another journal if you wish, but you should contact the instructor to make sure that the journal is acceptable.
You may use an article about research, a scholarly lecture reprint (such as an Eleanor Clarke Slagle lecture), or a theoretical discussion. All these types of articles will include an abstract, so if your article does not have an abstract, it is not acceptable. It is NOT acceptable to use a book review or editorial for this assignment.
2. Write a 2-3 page double-spaced paper, using the following outline to analyze the article.
a. What was the author’s main purpose for writing the article? Sometimes authors do not explicitly say this; you may have to figure it out.
b. What was the focus of the article?
c. What were the most important points of information shared in the article?
d. What major conclusions did the author present?
e. Do you think this article helps to expand the knowledge of the occupational therapy?
Profession? (Support your answer)
f. Explain what interested you the most about this article.
3. The analysis should be in a narrative form, not in a question-answer format.
4. Use the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th edition format for citation and referencing of the article.
5. A copy of the article must be submitted as a PDF file or as a hard copy to the instructor by the due date.
