The Failed Promise of Heroic Leadership
Now a days, a hero is a person who could bring a change to a matter even though it’s temporary. When I was watching "the yes man fix the world", I was surprised by the courage and braveness these two young guys got. I mean they are trying to transfer their message to some of the big corporations in the world, but even government agencies. Honestly, I liked their way of taking different routs other than most people. However, the same question remains: Did their way of arousing the issue really worked? Not really. On the other hand, it made people that were not aware of the matter and refresh the memories of others who lived the catastrophic event in India, for example. Indeed, I was really surprise when they were interviewing people with a hidden cameras and some interviewee would response as killing people is sacrificing for good successful profit. Well, I think these people brave to do such thing. Even though they transfer a true sad events to the public but they used a wrong way (some people would think so, I personally thinks that is totally fine because you fight fire with fire) as we live in a strange world that a lie is the standard good thing to do, and truth became ugly and unusual. In my humble opinion, they did a good job in addressing problems that important to the human kind and the planet, however, most people don't understand it until it become worse and worse. Or, simply they are selfish enough to live their lives and not thinking about coming generations. Meanwhile, it is an important role of teachers to change this sick mentality of living to yourself and everybody should gather for a deep purpose which is saving this beautiful planet.
