Week 6 Introduction Psychologists can achieve great success in a variety of areas and settings within the large field of psychology. There are also many routes that one may follow in order to become a psychologist. Regardless of the subfield chosen, all psychologists adhere to a Code of Ethics and are encouraged to participate with a variety of professional organizations related to their chosen specialty. Psychologists in all subfields are also encouraged to continue adding to their knowledge base and explore new evidence-based practices for treatment, as well as stay abreast of formal research findings throughout their careers. Psychology is a highly diverse field encompassing all aspects of human thought and behavior. As such, working as a psychologist is truly an empowering and inspiring profession.

1. Identify an individual plan for meeting the ethical requirements related to one’s individual career goals.
2. Describe the specific collaborative interactions involved in newer subfields of psychology including GLBT, military, forensic and online therapy.
