User Requirement to draw Use Cases:

Actors are 4 (Member, visitor/non-member, management, and coach)

Members who will use this system to access class schedules and register for classes. In addition, they will be able to see who the coaches for this class are, the other members that have signed up for the class. Lastly, if there is a conflict, members will be able to alter their class registration for a specific class to change to either a different date or cancel the class altogether.

Employees, which include the front desk, coaches, and management, will be able to create class registration forms, see which members have signed up for which classes, and generate and print out role sheets for the classes. The front desk will be available to help members with an difficulties encountered in the registration process or answer any questions members may have about classes.

Visitors/non-members will be able to see what classes are offered specifically for non-members, who the coaches are, a brief overview of the class, and the time and date of the class. The system will offer non-members a way to sign up to be a member. Non-member lose the benefit of seeing who else has sign up for the class as well as specific.

SYSTEM SUMMARY:

At the Salt Lake Swimming and Tennis Club many different tennis and swim classes are offered to members. This brings the problem of having different registration forms for each class. Currently we handle all of these registration forms by hand at the front desk and inputting them into printed out spreadsheets for the coaches role books. This creates a huge messy paper trail which is often hard to navigate and find the documents you need. This paper trail causes slow downs on busy registration days and customer frustration. An IT class registration and management system can be implemented to streamline this workflow of member class registration and coaches ability to manage classes. This system will speed up the registration process and provide a higher of level of organization for the company will increasing customer satisfaction. In the beginning the system will be a stand alone solution for class registration and management. The proposed system will allow members to fill out electronic class registration forms over the website. These forms from there would then be stored in a database and organized into coaches role sheets, so the coaches know who is coming to what class, on what day. Members could access their personal class profile and see what classes they have signed up for, the class schedule, and change which class they have signed up for. This system will work independently along aside our Twin Oaks Club management software filling in the existing gap of class management. As this system becomes more routine we can start looking for ways to expand the system into other areas of the company allowing for better efficiency and cost cutting

This system will cut down on the amount of staff needed at the beginning of registration sessions. The day before and the first day of class are always hectic with long lines of members waiting to sign up at the front desk. These long wait times are frustrating to customers, this system would alleviate this long wait time and boost customer satisfaction. The elimination of the messy class paper trail would cut staff time dedicated to searching for member registration forms since all of the forms would be accessible by searching for a members name on the computer. The ability for members to have a personal class profile should decrease confusion and increase overall satisfaction with the club. It will reduce staff mistakes from reading handwritten forms and allow information to be easily accessible instead of digging through paper forms.

Overall this will streamline the Club's class registration and management process leading to greater efficiency and greater customer satisfaction.
