Prior to the advent of the total quality management concept, what was senior management's typical approach toward quality?
The Senior Management main approach when dealing with quality management is based on been perfection, and been on time with their work and elimination of waste and getting things done the right the first time and giving their customer good quality of work from their company. When dealing with the way that we handle quality the upper management used work consistency to figure out the approach when it comes to the way to fix the quality issue and gauge the manager`s .When we use the underlying approach it helps with your main goal. I learned that there are a lot of differences between upper management when they approaches the subject in an orientation towards quality management when you dealing with different manager`s. The Senior Managers make sure that the performance is always high and to standard. And this is all before the start of quality control management.
What has led to the more comprehensive strategic view about total quality management?
Total Quality Management principals are based on two things ethics and been honest which is very important when you are in this line of work. The principal of whom total quality management was founded on is just been honest and doing things the right way which is very important in this line of work. It is very important to have total control over total quality management which can bring out the best in both parties. I learned that all of TQM pieces are connected in one place which helps them move in unison to achieve their goals
The strategic views of TQM are as follows:
Ethics
Integrity
Trust
Training
Teamwork
Leadership
Recognition
Communication
The ethics code`s is very important when dealing with an organizations it helps with the company codes of conduct and their employees. When dealing with individual ethics it is refer to right and wrong actions. I think honest means a lot when dealing with people and companies and customer. I learned that TQM will not make it without trust and that is very important when dealing with customer satisfaction.
