How Marriage and Love ought to work

People continue to have short relationships in marriage as they don’t recognize that love in marriage is the igniting power that helps marriages to endure hardships and challenges that comes with couples living together since love has no boundaries, no energy output, no territory, and no quantifiable mass and thus, lasting relationships are based on love.

Love is mainly defined as an innately free and unexplainable force of nature that cannot be bought, traded. Love is a phenomenon that strikes like an unpredictable, irrefutable, and lighting phenomenon which does not have any stipulations, codes, conditions, or agenda. In addition, love has no borders, no energy output, no territory, and no quantifiable mass. Marriage on the other hand is referred to as matrimony or wedlock between two spouses who are mainly referred to as a couple (Munroe 05). This study will expound the unique combination that both marriage and love ought to work together effectively for a long-lasting and successful relationship.

The world is evidently turning into a global village because of the numerous technological changes currently taking place. This has enabled people all around the world to connect with each other and eventually start relationships together. However, these unions or love relationships do not last for long because they lack the necessary bond which is referred to as love. Love surpasses all limitations and this is the paramount reason that is makes people blind (Esanbor 18).

Love is the most integral ingredient to a happy marriage and couples and marriage partners should always continue igniting the fire that comes with love. Love ensures that couples are able to know each other properly so that they can make the landmark decision of living together as married partners. Love endures all obstacles and challenges which married partners might incur as they live together. Love creates a unique bond which cannot be separated by external forces and this makes the married partners compatible. Love is the key that ensures that marriages are successful and long-lasting since there are no selfish interests among any of the married partner. Love and a successful marriage have to be hand-in-hand (Keller 52).

However, there are still many people who enter into a marriage after a period of love that they both feel for one another. Eventually, after they live together for some time the love starts to diminish as they become exposed to one another and starts to learn each other's weaknesses. These situations lead to divorces, but exceptional cases are known where even after love diminishes, couples still live together due the respect they have for the marriage institution.

Love is the most important ingredient that long-lasting relationships and marriages should have. Couples should always strive to ignite love as it is the bond that makes self-interests disappear and puts the interests of the partner above everything. Therefore, love and successful marriages are inseparable and go hand in hand.
