Preliminary Investigation
Mom and Pop Johnson video store has been keeping their records of videos and DVDs purchased from distributors and rented to customers in stacks of invoices and piles of rental forms for years. They have finally decided to automate their record keeping with a relational database.
Enclosed is the entire information from Project 1 below, just in case you need more than just the tables. Unfortunately, each table is missing the Data Types and Null. This information needs to be included in Project 2 as you can see from the previous pdf I included. Project 1
Step 1) (7 points) Determine and list your entities. Then create relationship sentence pairs between those entities that are related. You should not have any many-to-many relationships.
Entities 1. Customer 2. Supply 3. Movies 4. Movie Rentals 5. Rate 6. Stars Relationship Sentence Pairs Between Those Entities That Are Related Each Customer pays for one or more Movie Rentals. One or more Movie Rentals are billed to the Customer. Movie Rentals are rented from Supply with each Movie Rental renting only one item from it. Supply rents one or more Movie Rentals. The price of Movie Rentals is determined by using one, and only one Rate. Supply purchased one or more Movies. One or more Movies were purchased by Supply. (The MediaType of the movie is either in DVD or Video) Movies are made by Stars and each movie can be made by one or more stars. One or more Stars can make multiple Movies.
