SCI feedback 2
Need the feed back response to 1 and 2. Below is the question that is being answer in 1 and 2
Reconsider your ecological footprint analysis – re-calculate it (see directions below if necessary). Is it any different than it was at the beginning of the course? What changes in your lifestyle would you be willing to take to personally help shift the paradigm and to support social justice, equity, and caring for the people and ecosystems of Earth? How does this relate to the Saint Leo University core value of responsible stewardship? How would lessening the size of your ecological footprint relate to social justice and equity?
1.
My Ecological Footprint evaluation indicates that if everyone lived like I do, we’d need 3.9 Planet Earths to provide enough resources. My Ecological Footprint breaks down into 51% which includes the areas of my life that have the biggest impact on my personal Footprint. These areas includes: Food, Shelter, Mobility, Goods, and Services. My Ecological Footprint also suggests that in order to support my lifestyle, it takes 17.4 acres of the Earth’s productive area to compensate my needs. 15.7 tons of carbon dioxide is used to live in such a manner.
To stop eating meat is a change that I will be willing to take personally to help shift the paradigm and to support caring for the people and the ecosystem of Earth. This step cam eliminate health issues that me and my love ones could acquire from consuming meat that is pumped with steroids and other artificial inseminated chemicals. We all have a responsibility to be resourceful with the abundance that we have been blessed with. I consider this part of the Saint Leo University core value statement to mean that we should do our very best to appreciate what we have in life and use it with wisdom so it will last longer for the continuation of man-kind. Lessening the size of my ecological footprint will mean that I not only care about my health and welling-being but also that of everyone else around me.

My ecological footprint stayed about the same. I try to eat as non-processed as I can get. However, my automobile, electricity, and water usage definitely needs to decrease. It is hard to change your lifestyle so drastically when the lives we currently live demand some of the things we do. Yes, I could take fewer and shorter showers and I can try to not use as much electricity. When it comes to driving though, I cannot really change much about that. I live close to 40 minutes away from work and have to get there mon-fri. If we could all start over it would be easier to make choices that would benefit everyone's lifestyle. It's just harder to change when you're already in it. We do however, need to make an effort to change as much as we can so that we can help support social justice.
