Strategic management homework
Abstract
The paper is in reference to a business concept behind the product Health Watch created
by Proactive Health Technologies based on different strategic management concepts mentioned
in class.
Introduction
Health Watch is a medical device product that has been created by Proactive Health
Technologies to reinvent the mission of current health care and to address the needs that were
created by the Accountable Care Act. It is like its name suggests a watch with various health
addressing capabilities of which the most important being its ability to keep track of important
vitals that help with pro-active health care.
This product tends to be unlike other medical equipment devices out there because it is
fashionable and being proactive about your health doesn’t have to come with wearing imposing
bulky equipment that lets the world know that you might have a health condition. Health Watch
allows a person to be subtle and private while being proactive about their health.
Proactive Health Technologies was founded by Sven Robinson. We’re based out of
Providence, RI and the company was started in August 2014 to address the needs of the health
care space by providing data analytics, health care management and creating monitoring
technologies like Health Watch.
Proactive Health Technologies’ mission is to promote healthy living and to help people
achieve the healthy lifestyle by providing wearable technology that lets them monitor how they
are doing with health management. The ability of the software that runs behind the scenes for
health watch runs critical analysis and provides data analytics to see how users are doing on their
health plan. It also allows patients to communicate to their Doctors and Health Care Providers
through a social network platform that is secure that they are able to better manage their health
concerns.
This paper is now going to talk about the different means by which Proactive Health
Technologies will achieve its goals and objectives especially in a market that we believe we are
early entrants in and one that is not necessarily been established nor has been dominated by once
particular company. This paper will address different strategy concepts that will enable us to
improve our performance as a company and make us better competent in implementing the
strategies.
