“A Community Conversation on Race and Education”
On Wednesday, November 19th, I went to the event of the community conversation on race and education by Dr. Augustine Romero. The event was located at the university of Texas at San Antonio on Downtown Campus and was scheduled at 6 p.m. and he started the event by introducing himself to the audience the introducing his grand father, father, child, his best friend “wife”. He has a PowerPoint and he got clear slides and colorful slides. And he let some audience read his PowerPoint’s slides because there were a lot of information in the PowerPoint. He used a lot of examples to support his idea. Also he asked the audience some question to support his idea. Dr. Augustine Romero had many advantages that made the lecture interesting. He was ready to give his speech. His eye contact was really perfect as well as his movement. He was very accurate about the time and he ended up the lecture at the exact time. He let the audience to ask questions and he made sure to answer all the questions in details and also he let the audience share their ideas. Also, his voice was nice and loud and his accent also it was clear. He was funny and used some jokes get audience’s attention. Finally, I really enjoyed his lecture and I wish to attend any event that Dr. Augustine Romero is lecturing in the future.
