Modular Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this module, the student will be able to satisfy the following outcomes:

· Discuss the impact of the mixed model of government and competition on health care reform.
· Identify and discuss at least 2 mechanisms to address quality and cost of health care.

· Identify and discuss the intended purpose of the PPACA.
· Identify and discuss four mechanisms of the PPACA to include the impact on the delivery of health care.
· Discussion
· Explore the implications of the new health care law on the general public.
Module Overview
Health Care Reform is a broad phrase referring to changes to policies, delivery and financing of health care, lowering of health care costs and improvements in quality of care. This module will focus on initiatives related to reform of the health care delivery system. Through your readings and assignments you will be introduced to various reform initiatives and recommendations. We will look closely at some of these initiatives and also look at President Obama's reform plans.
