Statistics
The data in the sample represents the marks obtained by 12 students in an English examination marked out of 100 marks for sample A and their subsequent Mathematics marks for the same term in sample B. This sample was collected using the simple random sampling technique and therefore each student’s marks with an equal chance of being selected into the sample to avoid any study bias.

By looking at the general appearance of the line graph, there is possibly a close positive correlation between the performances of students in both subjects.

From this plot the median of A is 50 and the range is from 32 to 97. The mean of A is 56.50

From this plot the median of B is 53 and the range is from 21 to 95. The mean of A is 54.75.
Therefore, though there is no large difference between the student performances in English and Mathematics, comparatively, Mathematics was better performed than English.
